February Updates from Effective Altruism Turkey
At the Effective Altruism Turkey University Students Retreat, we brought together students interested in effective altruism from various universities in Turkey and organized workshops on topics such as impactful careers, rationality, and community building. Nineteen participants who filled out the feedback form rated the retreat 8.9 out of 10 on average for meeting their expectations.
January Updates from Effective Altruism Turkey
Leaders of effective altruism communities at Boğaziçi, Bilkent, Koç and Hacettepe Universities came together to prepare for the upcoming spring semester and strengthen cooperation between communities. At the meeting, each community shared their experiences from the previous semester and exchanged ideas on event planning, methods of increasing member participation, and strategies for raising awareness on campuses.

Ninety people attended the introductory talk organized by the Effective Altruism community at Koç University. 🎉 We wholeheartedly support the teams carrying out community-building activities across Turkey and wish them the best.
October Updates from Effective Altruism Turkey
Health Progress Hub, founded by Berke Çelik from the Bulletin team within the Global Policy Research Group; It aims to serve as a bridge between students and professionals in low- and middle-income countries and effective health policy organizations to accelerate the solution of important but neglected public health problems. In the 10-week pilot program, which is open to applications from all over the world, participants will receive both theoretical training and the opportunity to gain experience with projects they will carry out with institutions such as Fortify Health and Lead Exposure Elimination Project. If you wish, you can voluntarily become a part of the Health Progress Hub team or leave your contact information in this form to be notified when pilot program applications open.

The new academic term is well underway as one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year for many EA university groups. University groups provide an environment where many people learn about EA ideas and meet individuals motivated by the idea of doing good and taking important steps to tackle the world's most pressing problems. EA Boğaziçi, EA Koç and EA Bilkent also said hello to the new era.
