Effective Animal Advocacy Turkey (EAATR) is the community of those who aim for the most effective change for animals! Their aim is to strengthen advocacy through evidence-based and strategic approaches; To support animal advocates to improve their knowledge, skills and connections through reading groups, trainings, workshops and content.
You Are Invited to the Introduction to Effective Altruism Program and Info Session!
We invite you to the 5-week free reading group, where we will seek answers to the question of how to solve the world's most urgent problems in the most effective way! This program, which will be carried out in groups of 5-8 people, will last five weeks and take place online. Every week, we will read selected texts and discuss them among ourselves with a moderator. The readings of the program, which will start in the last week of July, will be in English, but the sessions/discussions will be in Turkish. Whether you are a student or a professional, if effective altruism interests you, you can apply to this program regardless of where you live and your intellectual background. The application deadline is July 22!

Doing Good Effectively Program
The Doing Good Effectively Program organized by Effective Altruism Turkey and Poedat will focus on how to help others and benefit the world as effectively as possible. The program, which will examine issues such as poverty, animal welfare, global catastrophic risks, artificial intelligence, and intergenerational injustice, will be held in person at Postane in Galata, Istanbul every Saturday between 4 February and 11 March 2023, from 19:00 to 22:00. The application deadline is January 15.
